Is that the same Laura Miller who thinks people shouldn't do NaNo because plebs sully the purview of professional writers? From the summary, it sounds consistent with her views.

Oh god, that one is just daft. Smacks vaguely off the same 'but why are you writing to get published?" schlock that gets handed to fanfic writers. There's more sense than snobbery (though it's there a bit) in the slush pile one.
