Caught up! Oh phew

4000 words today. Wow. Am soooo glad I made myself do it though – it’s going to make the rest of the week feel a lot light, not going into it with a writing debt.

In terms of the plot, I’m now just on the cusp of writing the next big scene where the two protagonists meet up again, which will be exciting. I have to confess to cheating a little and writing some bits of what goes on after that, but I’m very much looking forward to getting to that point. It feels like I’m about to get over the hump, the hard second act and move into the third and fourth. Everything is about to pick up again.

I think I’m going to set Nanolomo aside – it’s a wonderful idea, but a bit much to take on when also trying to finish a draft of a novel. I’d like to get back to the reviews on influential books at some point. Just not this month.
